The 74th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) ceremony, which is being held over two nights started on Saturday evening. The award ceremony took place digitally.  The BAFTA awards 2021 are being held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 10 and April 11. On the opening night, out of 25 winners, 8 of them were announced. The favourites this season, who took home most trophies on Day 1 of the Bafta awards 2021 were Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Christopher Nolan directed Tenet and Sound of Metal.

Meanwhile, the winners of categories like Best Actor Male, Best Actress Female, Best Supporting Actress And Actor, Best Director and others are yet to be announced. They will be announced in the second night of the Bafta awards. It will be revealed in India on Monday morning. Actor Adarsh Gourav from Priyanka Chopra Jonas co-produced Netflix film The White Tiger has also been nominated. Gourav earned a nomination in the Best Actor category for his stellar performance in The White Tiger.
